Our Registered Psychologists
What can I expect from my first Psychologist visit?
At your first session the psychologist will discuss your goals and what you would like to achieve during the sessions. They will give you information about their experience and outline therapies or strategies that are relevant to you. In some cases you may be asked to complete a form on which issues you wish to address. You do not have to discuss anything that you do not wish to. Our focus in each session is to provide support in a comfortable environment.
The psychologist may suggest strategies and techniques to assist with any immediate challenges you may be facing. You are free to ask questions throughout the session and provide feedback to the psychologist. Your initial session will be just under an hour.
Our fees are well below the recommended fee for Psychological services by the Australian Psychological Society. With a medicare referral from a GP you are able to claim back a large proportion of our fees.
