Contrary to what many believe, barre is not  only for dancers. These classes are great for those wanting to start barre workouts and work up to the Barre attack and Barre Fitness classes.

A dynamic fusion of Pilates, Bal­let and Fit­ness. It’s a fun, all body work­out using the clas­sic Bal­let Barre that attacks those dreaded prob­lem areas — legs, butt, thighs, tummy and arms.

Pilates Power Barre

These drop-in classes are a great way to ease into Barre and learn the technique for those new to the barre..   Its Barre & Pilates together - everything you need to make you trim, taut and terrific!

Pilates has always been an amazing tool for strength, tone and general wellbeing.  We wanted to step it up a bit so we have done some tweaking, borrowing some BarreAttack  moves and combining them with traditional Pilates.  By using resistance bands and small equipment, we  increase the efficacy of the workout, multiplying all the benefits of Pilates that you know and love - increased stamina, leaner muscles, and a super toned core to provide postural support to reduce aches and pains that arise from muscle inefficiency.  Tuesdays at 4.45pm

Requirements for barre Classes: Workout clothing, exercise mat, water bottle. Resistance Bands are supplied for the 6 week course. Normally these can be hired for $2 or purchases for $12. These bands need to be at least 2.5m long (not normal size)

If this is your first class at the Wellness Centre we need a Pre-Exercise Forms filled out so please arrive at least 10 minutes prior. Otherwise you can download Forms HERE
